He lives his life free
I can only watch
Caged by my imagination
Imprisoned by my dreams
As he dances around me
I sink
into the background of his world
Unable to move
Unable to concentrate
I cannot be near him
It hurts too much to leave him
I am perplexed and fixed on his eyes
They pulse with energy
As they peer through mine
I wish I could stay away
Instead I fade
Emblazed in the aftermath of what he leaves
The fire rising within me
I love him with fervor of a thousand suns
But I’m the one that burns
