Burning Suns

Blazing arc in dampened sky,
Living flame embellish the lie,
Reflections of the truth we spy,
But passage lets the fire die.

Points of light begin to grow,
Canvas flecked with tiny glows,
Shapes form, begin to know,
View is obscured by inky flow.

Shadow disk set to rise,
Powdered up in her disguise,
Mischief sparkles in her eyes,
Covered now by open ties.

The burning sun dictates your days,
The burning sun dictates your days,
The burning sun dictates your days,
Follow its tune over the horizon.

Waiting brings its own rewards,
Winged arrows fly to their wards,
Strike and cast,
The shadows gaze,
Strike and cast,
The time,
For every purpose,
Under the heavens.
