By-Gone Days

Poem By Dorothy M. Huntsberger

As I sit and ponder on things of days gone by,
I just can't help but wonder, where did the time all fly
It seems like only yesterday I was on my daddy's knee,
We'd sing and laugh, for hours we'd play,
There was no one as happy as me.
I miss working with mother, dressing up dolls with sis,
Playing ball with my brother, I could make a long list.
Most of all I miss the friends that made my life such fun,
Why, oh, why must these things end, when you feel they've just begun.
