Call Of The Sea

Once again I hear the call
Even tho the day is bleak and cold.
It is here where I find comfort
for my beaten weary soul

As I stroll the water's edge
The sand is chilling to my bare feet
The damp wind cuts to the bone
but it is here I choose to retreat

I wish for a warm hand to hold
an ear to just listen.
An open heart to understand
not offering opposition

The rushing tide drowns
the haunting words of my brain
The wind blows away the tears...
The evidence of my pain

His mission for me is not one
that I would have readily chosen.
It now weighs so heavy
leaving my tracks still and frozen

As I walk the lonely shore
I feel His love surround me.
Igniting an inner warmth and
knowing what must be, will be.

I rest in confidence knowing
that He will not take me to it.
With out His loving hand
helping me thru it

So the call of the sea has fallen
once again upon this heart.
It is here my strength regains
allowing another start.

Oh it feels nice to read this piece. I can almost feel the sea air ride gently acoss my cheeks, and gently part my hair. Nice poem. God bless-Michael Jeffrey Gale.
