Can I Come In? Mt.25: 35

“Forgive me please this time of night
My friend’s in so much pain
Across the moor we saw your light
Despite this fog and rain

I found him lying cold and still
Near to death I fear
And so to do the Father’s will
I sought your help in here”

“Come in my friends I’ll close the door
Come in and take a seat
Your friend looks frozen to the core
Draw closer to the heat

I’m sure you can’t go on tonight
You must go straight to bed
It’s good you saw my kitchen light
Or both of you’d be dead

For both of you to God I’ll pray
I live here all alone
The doctor lives too far away
And I don’t have a phone

Have faith dear friends God understands
He sees and knows your pain
I’m sure He’ll stretch His healing hands
To make you well again

You’re now awake, I find it weird
Something I can’t ignore
The man who brought you disappeared!
Straight through a bolted door”

You say you never knew his name
Yet friend don’t think it odd
I now believe that He who came
Was sent by none but God!
