Captivation

Poem By Elizabeth Walker

Of all the shimmering pools and celestial skies
the ones I love most I see in your eyes.
Your touch smoother than the water flowing over my skin
Your soft whisper in my ear and I let my new life begin.
The tips of your fingers like the wind caress my hair
one kiss from you and I become ensnared
I'm captivated and theres no way to know
please take all of me with you I want to go.

School's Food

Yuck! Gross! I won't eat that
This food looks like a run over rat
It's green and gross, kind of icky,
It smells like a sewer and is really sticky

Racing

The pace car is out leading the pack
slowly it moves around the track
the cars then speed up at a fast clip
no treads on these tires makes it easy to slip

An Unheard Cry

Your love is indeed perfect, perfectly refined
such a love anyone would desire as I do for mine.
Closely I follow your lead hoping my life will turn around
yet I miss your footprints and stumble and fall down.

Afternoon Sky

I dream of a sky pink, orange and blue
hughes of purple are scattered there too.
Each color softly fades as the night starts to invade
but until this lovely site is through

Eternally Yours

Forever and always, always and a day,
until every hair on my head turns grey.
Wherever you go and whatever you do,
I hope you always know that baby I love you.

You Create My Solitude

You're in the other room, I left to avoid your stare
i gaze into your eyes yet all i do is touch your hair
i saw true joy as laughter escaped your lips,
i want to feel your skin run smooth under my fingertips
