Carpe Diem: Stand Still For Me

Poem By Caryl Ramsdale

If a second in time paused—
to let me catch up;
If a word of kindness meant—
to fill my deep cup;
If a teardropp cannonballed—
from my gutted soul;
I know I could seize the day (Carpe diem) —
hollow out my goal.

Rhyme: Now And Then

There's a quiet place I go,
When I'm feeling kinda low;
I think back to yesterday,
To the life I used to know.

Rhyme: This Beautiful Place

Feel God's love flow from heaven above,
Riding sunbeams it filters through trees;
Shimmering light mirrors water like glass,
One graceful, white swan swims peacefully.

Rhyme: Broken Hearts Cry Silently

Admire, cherish, value, prize
All who are put in your care;
Broken hearts cry silently
Sending out petition prayers.

Rhyme: Busy Making Memories

Claim my trinkets and treasures,
Ignore my identity;
Denounce any connections,
But don't take one memory.

Rhyme: Angels In The Air

Someone knocked on the stormdoor,
Knocked one knock, then knocked again;
When I opened it slightly,
Two strangers asked to come in.
