Catch The Mystics Unwares, Singing Beautiful Songs Of Love.

Poem By Genova Maaa my mother

The mystics sing song of love.
We can catch them unwares
singing beautiful songs of love.

Rolle writes:
„I wish to be made like the little bird
that languished beyond love for his beloved,
but by languishing also rejoiced,
by reaching in himself what he loves,
and in rejoicing sings, and by singing lavishes,
but in sweetness and ardor". (Rolle Richard,
The fire of love and the meaning of life,
‚Incendium‘ Chp.42, P.262) .

Comments about Catch The Mystics Unwares, Singing Beautiful Songs Of Love.

In one of his best-known works, Incendium Amoris (The Fire of Love) , Rolle provides an account of his mystical experiences, which he describes as being of three kinds.1) A physical warmth in his body,2) a sense of wonderful sweetness, and 3) a heavenly music that accompanied him as he chanted the Psalms. The book was widely read in the Middle Ages, and described the four purgative stages that one had to go through to become closer to God: described as 1) open door,2) heat,3) song, and 4) sweetness.

Pure Nothing.

The content of absolute detachment
is seen as pure nothing.
Pure nothing is the highest point
at wich God can work in us as he pleases.
