Chains

With fear in our hearts.
They sent us away.
To a land strange and new.
For the err of our ways.
Despite how we came,
We made this country our home.
With back breaking toil.
Sweat, pain and more
than you'll ever know.
Chains that once bound us
Have become part of our souls.
Forged iron of hero's.
reaching our goals.
Those that stood before us.
Now take to our sides.
Our strength is in numbers.
There's nothing beyond us.
Just you hear us cry.
