Change

Poem By Kendell Cochrane

Words spoken in silence
are often meant
for the heart,
or mind,
Having lost itself in
its own train of thought.

Memories of tragic past occurrences come with faded imagery,
occasionally projected
through the eyes of a lost soul.

Life is blurred,
Sitting with shadows,
Drinking time,
By the cup fulls,
Awaiting change.

Good rendition of words. Beautiful profound poem elegantly written with conviction. Thanks for sharing Kendell.

I've layed in them all,
Fell short with a few,

I've thought about heroin,
The rush I've heard she gives,
The way she makes problems vanish
While seeping into your veins,

We don't know how much time we have,
Yet still work to the bone,
To provide a life we think we need,

A certain feeling used
To suffocate my thoughts,
Sometimes it still does,

written onto paper,
remaining blank while
Diving deep into thought.
