Childhood Dream

Poem By Nicholas Franklin Chong

I'll learn how to mix the cement.
I'll learn how to lay the bricks.
I'll learn how to structure the scaffold.
I'll learn how to source the water.
I'll learn how to lay the tiles.
I'll learn how to shade the rooms.
I'll learn how they all fit together.

I'll build a house.

And one day,
I'll build a home.
