Chorus Line

Poem By Ernestine Northover

A string of street lamps,
their heads stretching out across the road.

On the top of one, a row of birds sit.

Do you think they are wondering
how far along this appendage
they can shuffle,
before they all fall off the end.

Or do you think that they are thinking of
forming a 'Chorus Line'.

Lovely write, they used to sit on the street light outside our house too. I think they were just trying to keep their feet warm though! Andrew x
I think that they will carry on singing either way.Love Duncan
A nice vignette, Ernestine.
With Raynette, it brought a smile.
I like this one, Ernestine. It captures the scene and makes me laugh. Raynette
