Cider By The Lakeside

Lying back staring into duck egg blue,
Watching blossom floating on whispers
Between the branches dressed in pink,
Glinting hazy bronze like sunlight through syrup,
Hitting my eyelids and lighting my smile.

My mind is blank,
I need not see,
The sunshine is my eyes for me.

Silken strands spread across protruding green,
Golden glow that permeates and spreads its radiance,
Seeing the world through blue glass,
Plucked strings vibrate and hang in the air
While voices weave through and brush my ears.

My mind is blank,
I need not see,
The sunshine is my eyes for me.

Days cross into dreams as reality melts away,
Cares drift on clouds while wind blows them into the sunset,
Toes dabble lightly in soothing swells,
Cooling hands wash out what sky fire wafts in,
Floating lazily on a raft of imagination
To find out what is downstream.
