Clear Fun

Poem By Willie Lou Shirley

Way back in the thirties
We had our Saturday fun
By taking our bath in a washtub
In water headed by the sun

We would double up in that old washtub
Mom. with Lifebuoy soap, would scrub us,
'til we squeaked
So we could get to Sunday School on time
And nobody ever peeked.

The Old Buck Sheep

We had a Rambouillet buck sheep
You would never want to meet
Because every time I turned my back,
He would butt me off my feet.

Red Spot

Red Spot was a nanny goat
With a red spot on her face,
She led the sheep and goats to water;
Them we didn't have to chase.
