Clementines

Poem By Francis Santaquilani

You think I go to spain

To buy you clementines.

'Product of Spain', i read

Once to you from a crate.

I let you believe it.

I like the way it is.

I like that you believe everything I say,

That you can't

Tell time or

Know a country from a state.

I'd go to Spain

To buy them for you though,

It'd be worth it

Just to watch you eat them.
