Contentment

Listen very closely and will hear a distance clip-clop
It is my grandfather returning from a field out west
After spending a day of making wheat into bundles
It is the time to feed the horses and take a long rest

For memories of my early family come flooding back
When I think of their ethics of their Amish traditions
As it becomes a source for my personal contentment
Knowing there is life better then today's institutions
