Contrasting

Poem By andrew myatt

Something new always brings out
the best in your depleted spirit
Your ferocious appearance the fierceness
in your glance dissipates something old

Thats disgarded now its had its time had
its place now well remembered all is
Replaceable I'm sad to say emotional
turmoil has a lot to tell and pay

As you go it can average out a place
to restore go quietly on your way when
Presence is not requested take another
deep breath learn to hold it in so it

Reaches that part deep inside of you as
you remember the food of life so simple
Forgotten breaths let out speedily do not
lose what leaves a sharp intake learn

To hold it and control it better to smile
than to scowl have a lasting effect
That can be frightening and long lasting
Repeatedly contrasting unusual reality
