Déjà Vu

Déjà Vu

I have this feeling I can’t explain
It keeps rolling around in my brain

Decisions I’ve made things left for chance
Echoes of past choices, missed romance

Pathways walked unequally yoked
A life reviewed with eternal hope

Youth is the enemy of choices we make
Looking back will only lead to heartbreak

Signs in your path that you can not read
Until it has passed, to late you plead

Youth is the enemy of seeds not yet sown
Different choices I’d made if only I’d known

Paths chosen with little or no contemplation
Have huge consequences for life’s duration

Sometimes you are rewarded with glimpses of bliss
Showing you pathways that are forever amiss

I have this feeling I can’t explain
It keeps rolling around in my brain

That I have passed this way many times before
I see the signs with eyes mature more and more

How many times have I been down this path
It is hidden, a secret, or some gods wrath

The universe expanding, the stars all align
Passing, maturing and aging like wine

I wonder if you, have that feeling too
Is it only me or just Déjà vu?
