Daisychains

Poem By Ysabel Greenway

Which gift can I bring to show that I care
A treasure to store - or something to share
Lost deep in thought as I walked in the lane
Here was the answer, a daisy chain
Each small flower, God's gift to us all
Can tell you so much although they are small
First to say thank you for being my friend
Threading my thoughts in a message to send
One for this moment and the time yet to be
Another to say you can count on me
A daisy for courage, tasks yet to be done
Next to remind you of the warmth in the sun
Now as I fasten the links in my hand
Sure in the knowledge that you'll understand
No diamonds or pearls, but flowers that grow free
Make up this gift with affection from me

My Family

What is a family where does it start?
As a Mother I say "Straight from the heart"
Not just the moments of pride that we feel
Or even the shopping or cooking a meal

The Little Grey Church

The little grey church stands proud and still
Lord of the land at the top of the hill
Reflecting on christenings that have taken place here
Farewell to loved ones when we part with a tear
