Darkness

The darkness envelops me.
I welcome it into my being.
A warmth to soothe the memories,
A chill to sweep them away.
A corner to hide the lies,
A place to seek the truth.
I let it consume me,
Sinking,
Floating,
In pure bliss and comfort.
Everything else forgotten.
The pain of yesterday,
And what must be faced tomorrow.
Forgetting... as the darkness envelops me.
