There are no lights around,
by Daniela Olevsky
dark stranger abound
seeking what they never found
silently, under the barks of a hound.
I see someone come up the wall,
he seems no stranger at all,
but now he is in my hall
from thus I hear his call...
'listen to me here
and you shall have no fear,
down in the kitchen's rear
there is something you may hear.
Rats, scratching against the ceiling
though it seems to have no meaning,
gold lies there in its dreaming
with it I shove before its evening.'
