Dear Caseworker

Abandoned and alone,
You found me a home.
Filled with fear,
You caught each tear.
Hopeless and scared,
You always have cared.
Pain and heartache,
You didn't let me break.
Angry and broke,
You cracked a joke.
Couldn't smile,
You held me for awhile.
Screamed forget it,
You wouldn't let me quit.
Felt so down,
You stuck around.
Wanted to die,
You let me cry.
Where would I be,
If you hadn't rescued me?
