Dear Father

What’s wrong with you?
Did you think this wouldn’t hurt me?
Oh wait, that’s right you don’t think
You Don’t know how to
When did you remember you had a daughter?
The promises you’ve broken
I don’t believe a thing you say, not even when you say
I love you.
I’ve always been here but all you’ve done is left
Every time I would again have to try to start over in forgetting you
I wish you would listen once when I yell at you to leave and stay gone
Failure, disgrace, disappointment
I’ve yelled these to your face
You just think it’s a game
You were my father
I have disowned you
Now maybe I can get some peace.
