Death And Beauty

Poem By Rich Lin

Through the forest
Into the glades,
He saw a woman start to fade.
He fought through without relent.

Her hair lying across her bare back
The hair was straight
Blocking his view from her face.
Still he ran ignoring the pain.

A gust of wind
Exposed her cheek
The sight he was longing
For a week.

Finally, she turned around.
The beauty was instant fame.
But it brought instant pain.
He crumbled to the floor without a sound.
