Poem Hunter
Sara Teasdale (August 8, 1884 – January 29, 1933 / Missouri / United States)

What do I owe to you
Who loved me deep and long?
You never gave my spirit wings
Or gave my heart a song.

But oh, to him I loved
Who loved me not at all,
I owe the little open gate
That led thru heaven's wall.

it actually shows a truth that's very sorrowful in that we often care not for those who love us and have our eyes set on others.
Very touching in how she is simply expressing how deeply she loved well knowing she was not loved in return, but alowed her to love him irregurardless. Very sad.... Bonnie
