Defeated

Poem By nisha dyrene

I watch the words
As they come
Slowly
Drop by drop
Moving into shapes
That make no meaning

I feel my body sigh
At its inadequacy
Knowing the inevitability
Of futility

I sense the confusion
Of disjointedness
Of who I am
And who I wish to be

Past and present
With no future
Only questions

I think a thousand thoughts
Not knowing
A single’s worth

Put a few on paper
And stare
And sigh
Not seeing
Seeing nothing

Comments about Defeated

God have made the world out of nothing.... and you write something from nowhere as you said, yet it turned out to be something worth reading. Good job.woth 10 for me.
