Delusions To Divorce

Poem By Lawrence S. Pertillar

To refuse and accept,
That which is commonly known.
Surrounding one openly.
Easily accessible.
And to others clearly shown.
Can not in itself,
Be blamed on ignorance alone.
Since other factors,
Are in play.
That remain to stay,
In a mind like this.
Ignorance to imply it.
Often applies to the ones,
Unknowing to them...
What is available.
To later accept their ignorance of it.
"I didn't know.
I'm glad you brought that to my attention.
And to think it was right here and near,
All this time.
Thank you."

On other occasions,
This trip to explain.
Some wish to take to other destinations.

There are those,
Who will stubbornly argue.
Over something they know nothing about.
But creates a scenerio,
Wished to have believed.
With memories of events,
Invented to have occurred.
But never happened in reality.
Leaving those,
Who have had their own delusions,
To divorce from them.
Immediately free themselves,
From an argument one wishes to start.
That validates someone not yet prepared,
To turn that light on in their head.
And rid whatever is kept in it stored.
Collecting dust and not much more.
