Denial

Poem By Shannon Black

I remember that night like it was yesterday
Driving to the clinic
Denial is amazing
Stopping for nicotine enroute
This can’t be true
Denial can cover anything
Except the truth
The funeral line was so long
So many to pay their respects
You were amazingly loved
