Despair

This despair drowns me,
Like night smothers the light,
Yet still like angels eyes stars promise,
Promise relief in my final measure,
The poison tears my throat,
Like acid eating my flesh,
Hope enevolpes me in its light,
The smell of death creeps to me,
Reminding me of a summer nights breeze,
Enticing with it thoughts,
A night in my lovers arms,
But death now is my lover,
Hope amoung despair,
Despairs only relief is in deaths unjudging care.

When your spirit seems vexed and full of despair, this may lift it: http: //www.poemhunter.com/poem/sunrise-on-the-mount/ It always works for me. Remember, there is only one thing we truly need. Cheers. Dan
