Do we know how someone else can feel?
by Nola Kinziger
Is their pain no less real? Cries all inside
Yet they abide Courage have they fault not their own?
Eyes project fear, are they alone Imprisoned in a body they no longer control
Tragedy has taken it's toll Do we know of their strife?
Heartache companion for life Dependent on strangers for every care
Shame impossible to bare For without you, they are lost
Human dignity bought for monetary cost Dealt a mortal blow
Basic defense has ceased to flow No future, barely remembers the past
A fortress of solitude, till death at last So do we know you ask
Only God accepts that enormous task
