Doctor Death

In the beginning God breathed into Adam, the living soul, his own breath,
Now in the nineties being taken by Doctor Death.
Is he really a mercenary, although this is not what he proclaims.
I won't mention his surname for the glory of him it may bring.
What kind of society could let immoral acts go on without end?
What kind of civilization, have we become?
Woe so cold, so unfeeling, so numb.
Have our prayers all fallen at the feet of those who harbor disbelief?
Has he found his true calling, "The stealing of desperate souls?"
Will he soon approach the parent of the terminally ill child?
Have we become a civilization without the capacity to love the parent as the parent loved the child?
Change the laws, and please God bless America again!
