Dreams Blossom

Dreams Blossom

They are dreary with damp and cold
Dimly lit
People at the snack bar serve
Greasy fries and warm soda
There are stains on the floor
And wet spots from melted ice
Gum sticks to the undersides
Of the tables
Skaters are so crowded
They can barely glide
Smooth patches of ice
Have been worn down long ago
And are covered with so many scratches
That skaters fall in the ruts
This is where dreams blossom.
