Drizzle Of Delight

Reining the wandering mind
I was all set to accomplish my goal.
The way was not a bed of flowers,
each step made me bleed of the thorns.
no words were pleasant! But the
longing hovered in my ears.
Getting up after tripping down was futile,
But I groomed myself to endure the hostility.
I was a solitary rebel rose to touch the skies.
Nightmares never scared me as
my dream was so fierce.
Light faded in and out of my room,
when i gambled with words.
The clock rushed like a marathon player,
and my heart swayed like a pendulum.
Judgement day approached like a storm
with a devastating power,
But the storm was kind and it
showered on me a drizzle of delight!

A lovely title for a well articulated piece of poetry nicely penned. Faith keeps those that keep the faith. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. ➕9
But the storm was kind; with the muse of life and, of the hope ahead. Nice work.
