Eight Pearl Buttons

The white suit with silk accessories.
One dreams of muddying its backside;
Of tugging until each of its eight pearl buttons
Make their splash in that dull puddle -
Which I have imagined so clearly.

Afterwards the rain would fall once more,
Red-cheeked and wet
We would gather our garments
And hurry away.
