Eleven Little Questions

Who will buy my sweet, red roses?
Who will read my rhymes?
Who will listen when I speak?
Pass with me the time?

Who’ll come if I throw a party?
Who’ll ask me to theirs?
Who will wipe away my tears,
When I’ve lost my hair?

Who will drink their wine with me?
Break with me their bread?
Who will sing to see I live?
Who’ll weep when I’m dead?
