Echo's Remain

Poem By Eleanor J. Scribner

If only poetry is food
then its easy to digest
and assimilate its content
then get full satisfaction

But poetry is inanimate
only depicts intricacies
filling the hungry hearts
with sentiments that soothe

Bards are gifted composers
who cook amazing compositions
of poetic array of exotic thoughts
like condiments enthusing nourishment

Comments about Echo's Remain

Hunger of our souls is fed through the poetry we write. You've captured the essence of poetry. Very well written. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
True, as poets, our hunger to be heard...not only by others, but our own selves, is immense.. I enjoyed your writings, and invite you to mine...you capture the essence of love in a profound and sweet sense. Well done poet friend. PEACE

Reminiscing

Today I cried a little, as I called my little girl
and saw her waiting by the stairs
Wedding blossoms in her hair
How gently I had touched her baby skin so fair

Ode To Debby

The Winds Answer Oh! Barefoot girl with wind-blown
hair, running along the shore
A lone seagull makes his call and
can see you wading there
