Ever Onwards Come What May

Poem By Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

For sixty years I've lived my life,
Not free from trouble or of strife,
Hour by hour, day by day,
Ever onwards come what may.

My life now full of memories,
Of people met and places seen,
Of knowledge learnt in books I've read,
And thoughts of what might have been.

My health not good, but living still
The life He gave me by His will,
To continue onwards come what may,
Ever onwards day by day.

Until my journey comes to end,
When He determines that it will,
And hope that I have done what asked,
And completed full my allotted task.
To die in peace, without much pain,
To bestow onwards my knowledge gained.
