Every Yesterday Lived
Poem By Lawrence S. Pertillar
Maybe one day.
When that one remembered dawn,
And the Sun appears to slowly rise.
Above the horizon.
Hopefully more with opened eyes.
Cleared to see.
That every yesterday we all lived.
No one had control over what we did.
To decide we should accuse another.
For having the gall and audacity,
To live their own life.
Doing it without permission.
And day after day to do.
Avoiding comments made that may criticize,
How they live.
What they do and with who.
By those too afraid,
To do this without getting approval.
