Everyday They Stay

Poem By Lawrence S. Pertillar

It is from the inside.
Decisions we make.
And it is from the inside.
We deny our mistakes.
Kept to marinate them.
To remind them made.
And everyday they stay.
That way.

Stronger become our misdeeds.
Everyday they stay.
And stronger when they don't leave.
Everyday they stay.
Hypocrisies have people grieving.
Everyday they stay.
As many pick their petty fights,
To never go away.

It's from the inside.
Decisions we make.
And it's from the inside.
We deny our mistakes.
Kept to marinate them.
Everyday.

Stronger become our misdeeds.
Everyday they stay.
And still stronger when they don't leave.
Everyday they stay.
With it done and made believed,
Okay to keep that way.
Hypocrisies have people grieving.
Everyday they stay.
To never go away.
It's from the inside.
We feed misdeeds.
But hate receiving.
It's from the inside.
We do to others with our druthers.
It is from the inside.
We pick our petty fights to stay that way.
Everyday.
