Poem By Seán O Muiríosa

You called me,
Opened a door
I thought I had sealed
With cement and bricks
To be enclosed forever,
Not so…

Oh, how smart was I!
When I locked you away.
Swallowed the key,
Whiskey helped down it.
Gone forever,
And yet not so…

A poem I did write,
A dedication.
Now that painterly sky
You’ve smashed.
I remember you now.

Dear Sean, A smidgen of all right; short, to the point. While I'm commenting, may I suggest you post more of these abbreviated forms; I did read some of your longer ones and rated a few. In this forum, when a reader is surfing through, it's somewhat time consuming to be wading such vast seas of words. Don't mistake this for criticism, it just takes too long to read them all. Gregory
Good work and its nice to read another Irish poet. Keep it up Ian
