Facts With Truth Told

Poem By Lawrence S. Pertillar

Anyone making attempts,
To get advice from someone...
Who has not experienced,
The tolerance it takes...
To remove layers of confusion,
Place in their heads...
To embed with a permanence,
With a hope to distance them further...
From their own identities to feel with depth,
Can not be seeking from them a truth to be told.
Not to advance their enhancement or growth.
Since the doing of that,
Would involved the revealing of facts.
And facts with truth told,
Too many are still finding offensive...
To 'pretend' a defense with a dignity felt,
Deep within their souls.
