Poem By Missy Lynn
Dancing embers of your cigarette tip
Burn a hole in my heart, for your gone.
The lingering melodies of the soft lullabies
You sang, haunt my soul, and chill me to the bone
The demure sparkle in your unforgettable eyes
So eloquently soothed my distempered infant spirit
The curls of your hair that fascinated me
Years ago. Are now like orange flames. Burning,
Upon my memory in a wild fiery fury.
Burning, against a sky of
Stale cold, blood colored, death.
Your memory, like fire
Consumes my soul, lives in me
