Fear 26

Poem By Prathibha Nandakumar

Remains of the dream
Hang on to my shoulder

Not touched by his lips
The virgin contours quiver

He is not good at bidding good byes
To kiss or not was never a dilemma

Fear lurks in his mind
I am one of a kind

To let go or hold on
By the hand that once pleasured

Suddenly you no longer dread, relieved
by her promise of disappearing into oblivion
