Few Do Go

Few do go through life without making some foes
This goes with being human one does have to suppose
The friend of your enemy is not a friend to you
Few manage to remain as friends with both of the quarelling two
The friend of your enemy can hardly be your friend
To say different would be for to pretend
Those not for me are against me old words of the wise
That human friendships are not unconditional one must come to realize
Though the friends of your enemy may be considsered honourable and just
They cannot be your friends since them you cannot trust
Human friendships can be fickle and often easy to break
By becoming a friend of your enemy an enemy of your friend you do make
That in the enemy of your enemy a friend you do gain
Of human relationships a fact that does remain.
