Fields Of Green

Through closed eyes
I see as if in a dream.

Toes dabble in sunshine’s full of sky,
Fears drown in deep sorrowful eyes,
Wind whispers in a thousand new cries,
Wait.
To see the fires die.

Wandering in fields
I remember vividly as green.

Vultures crowd in behind a new guise,
Tongues flicker with the element of surprise,
Papers scream out, writhing with lies,
Stop.
And let the fires die.

Vultures crowd in,
Wait to see the fires die,
Vultures crowd in,
Pause and watch the fires die,
Vultures crowd in,
Stop and let the fires die,
Vultures crowd in,
Stop.
And let the fires die.

Through closed eyes
I see as if in a dream,
Wandering in fields
I remember vividly as green.
