Fights

Fights,
We all get into them
Fights,
With her and him.

Sometimes we need em',
Sometimes we don't,
All I know,
I can't, I won't.

With you my friend,
It's hard to do,
I hate to do it,
Especially with you.

Now we can't,
Because you’re gone,
I fight with myself,
From mornin’ till dawn.

I want you to know,
That I haven't won,
And now this poem is over,
It is done.

On reading it again - the first two lines of the last verse are the essence of the poem - so finish with them, leave out the comment about the poem being done which spoils it, and think up a first two lines for the last verse. (Said Mr Bossy..)
I agree with what Michael said. It does have a playful sound to it, but is also quite touching at the same time.
I laughed at this, Robert! And it's serious underneath, too. Good.
