Fire That Burns

Poem By Bill Simmons

We have seen many things within our lives
And may never know the reason why
The earth it turns
Fire that burns
The heavy heart that never learns
The heart in love
What is and isn't right

There is such beauty in this world for all to see
The many mountains, the rivers, and the streams
But for love
When it is found
The whole world could crumble down
For blind are our eyes
We just can't see

In the night from where you are is the moon among the stars
For love it makes no difference who you are
Can you feel it
Have you learned
Can you feel the fire that burns
For it is love, it has come
True nature's art

Can you feel the earth stand still
Emotions come, You've lost your will
We have seen
Many things within our lives
But it's only for love, we blind our eyes
Have you learned that fire it burns
As well inside.
