Firebird

Poem By Perfect Fool

Float up on your wings
Baby, my firebird
Soar high through the clouds
That once resided in your head

Be free, my baby
Free as the bird
You know you are inside
Waiting to take wing into the azure skies

Just don’t forget me
When you fly
Don’t leave my memory buried
Deep inside your past

I can't do this without you
But, firebird, just fly
Don’t think about me again if you can't
Don’t think at all, baby

I saw a secret smile
In that firebird
That smile that was always so far off
You could touch it today, couldn’t you?

Maybe you’re through
On the other side
You pulled yourself through
Maybe, just maybe

Firebird
What would I do without you?
My firebird, I need you
But I want you to be free

When you’re flying through that crystal blue
Maybe one day you’ll take me for a ride?
My firebird and I
Will you come back for me?

When all my stars have fallen
I know one that will always glow
My firebird, my angel in the night
Will you glow for me forever?

My firebird.

Liquid Violence

That which gives me strength
As the stream runs red
Pouring like liquid violence
From a cut in my head

I Am Not Made

I am not made for this
I’m not strong enough
I’ve often wondered late at night
What it’s like to stop

Circles Round The Moon

Tonight I drew a circle round the moon
This night I drew a circle round the moon
Through a glazed up frosty window
I drew a circle round the moon

Be My Sanity

Hysteria
From a low to mania
Standing watching, observing
Twisting inside

Alone

Come on, walk towards that light you see
At the end of the tunnel wait for me
I’ll be there soon, when I break free
From this world that’s holding me

Looking Pretty On A Sunday

Early evening the world collapsed
And the ground fell from beneath the sky
The sea blew sideways and rolled away
And the hazy sunrays crowded the shoreline
