Flame On A Birthday Cake

indigo skies filter through me
as I see you starring back, beautiful
like rays of light, bending through
crystalline water glasses
and passion-pink vases for decoration.
you exemplify the delight of love,
sweet as a bit of grape juice squeezed
on my lips, as I part your mouth
with my kiss; waves will begin
to flow, in and out of your aorta,
as you smile trying to kiss me back
to feel me breathe into you
as I've always wanted deep inside.
I want you, I need you, be in love
with me! please caress my hair
and complement my eyes as my
being becomes inextricable
with yours; then, let us fly away
together into a bliss that will join
us into one love: a love that will live
forever as an inextinguishable
flame on a birthday cake
meant for us to laugh at for all time.
