The fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

A much anthologized poem, but Sandburg has written many better ones.
its a really good poem
beautifully written FOG comes, slowly crosses all, small to great, touches all, ghostly....///
Sorry, but LANGSTON HUGHES made this Poem - NOT Mr. Sandburg Thats called plagiarism
This is one of my favorite poems of all time. Proof that poetry need not be long to be effective. The image of fog coming on little cat feet is hauntingly beautiful.
